Quote of the day 11/7-11/13

Monday November, 7, 2016

“There is a famine in America. Not a famine of food, but a famine of love, of truth, of life.” -Mother Teresa

It is sad that every time the presidential election is coming up, there is so much hate and America truly becomes divided. Love isn’t seen between neighbors and people become vicious to others when they don’t agree with them. We should love everyone even when we disagree with some of their beliefs. The country can only be united when there is love involved.

“Posterity: you will never know how much it has cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it.” -President John Adams

I hope we are always grateful for the country we live in even when things don’t always go our way. There were a lot of people who fought and suffered for this country to be what it is today. Let us be grateful to them by showing our love for the country now and our love for all who live in this beautiful country.

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” -Helen Keller

Sometimes we have to take a step back from our lives to be able to just have moments where we can be still and feel peace in our hearts. We need those moments to give us the strength to keep moving on. It is in those moments that we can truly see the world as beautiful.

“Keep your face always toward the sunshine-and the shadows will fall behind you.”    -Walt Whitman

Stay positive! It is our choice to focus on either all the good things happening in our lives or the bad things. We should always look up and look for the good because we will always find it.

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” -Aesop

Even just smiling to strangers can mean something to them. There are often a lot of little acts of kindness we can do to anyone we see throughout the day. But we may think them insignificant until we are on the receiving end and then we can see how big of an impact a smile from a stranger can make on your day. We should always remember that every act of kindness we, do will at least have an effect on you and make you happier!

“The only thing we never get enough of is love; and the only thing we never give enough of is love.” -Henry Miller

We can all try to give a little bit more love to the people we come in contact with daily. In return we will receive more love in our lives as well. The neat thing about giving is that we receive more than we actually give.

Sunday November 13, 2016

“You know you’re in love when you don’t want to fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” -Dr. Seuss

This is how I have felt the past 5 months of my marriage. My life has been a dream and I am so grateful for my husband, Danny, and all that he stands for. He has made me such a better person and he continues to be the man of my dreams. We truly can be happy when we prioritize what really matters and spend most of our time on those things.
