Homemade Applesauce!

I am a lover of apples! But I seem to especially grow fond of them in the fall, so this is a recipe I cooked up (after tasting & inventing other homemade applesauces) to fulfill my apple {& pregnancy} cravings. Hope you enjoy!!!


8 smallish apples*
1- 1 & 1/2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. water

Bring all the ingredients to a boil on the stove top & then cover. Simmer in a sauce pan for 20 mins. Mix all the ingredients together in a blender when complete. You can eat it hot at that point, or store in a container to put in the refrigerator.

*Tip: Stick with just 1 apple type for the recipe (i.e. Jazz apples, or Gala apples). If it’s a sweeter apple (i.e. not Granny Smith green apples) you don’t have to add much sugar.
